ACS Agricultural and Food Chemistry Division Young Scientist Award

This award is sponsored by the Agricultural and Food Chemistry Division (AGFD) of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The award is designed to recognize outstanding scientific contributions to the field of agricultural and food chemistry by scientists early in their careers. A technically diverse board of AGFD judges will select the awardee. The award is presented during the AGFD technical program at the ACS Fall meeting. 

Award: 

• Engraved plaque to commemorate this distinguished award
• Cash award of $1000
• Invitation to present their research at the Fall ACS National Meeting
• Up to $1,000 for travel expense reimbursement

Eligibility: 

• Nominations are open to young scientists who have earned their last degree within 12 years of October 1 of the year of presentation.
• Nominees are required to have been active members of the AGFD for a minimum of three years when submitting their applications.
• A technically diverse board of AGFD judges will select the awardee.
