In collaboration with Eli Lilly, the ACS Bridge Program is pleased to offer this free 2-day workshop for ACS Bridge Fellows, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers underrepresented in the chemical sciences. This interactive learning experience includes stimulating discussions with a diverse panel of professionals and one-on-one career consultations with a career adviser.
Participants will:
- Understand how skills, values, and opportunities can intersect to create a satisfying career path for an individual
- Be able to identify their own personal values and skills by creating an individual development plan
- Learn how to apply strategies for career exploration in different job sectors within the chemical sciences (Academia, Industry, Government, and Non-Profit/Entrepreneurship/Other)
- Develop new goals to reach their desired career objective
- Learn how to conduct a successful job search based on their new goals

Length: 2 days
Eligibility: Offered to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups (African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans). Other underrepresented groups in the chemical sciences are welcome to participate.
