Bridge Project - ACS Career Kick-Starter Workshop

In collaboration with Eli Lilly, the ACS Bridge Program is pleased to offer this free 2-day workshop for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars transitioning into the professional workforce.

The CKS Workshop interactive programming includes learning modules, discussions with a diverse panel of professionals, one-on-one career consultations with a career advisor, and opportunities for creating meaningful professional connections.

Participants will:

  • Identify individual values, strengths, and motivations
  • Write guided personal statements and receive one-on-one feedback about improving their personal narrative
  • Learn and practice constructive competitive graduate school applications
  • Gain crucial insights and experiences towards expanding and nurturing a professional network
  • Enhance professional development through educational and career coaching.

Where: Eli Lilly headquarters, Indianapolis, Indiana

Length: 2 days

Eligibility: Offered to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups (African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans). Other underrepresented groups in the chemical sciences are welcome to participate.
