Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities National Internship Program (HACU)

The HACU program offers paid internships for students at any degree level to gain work experience at U.S. federal agencies. HACU provides equal access to internship opportunities with multiple benefits:

Benefits:

  • All HACU internship positions are paid
  • HACU will arrange housing in the internship location (optional)
  • Travel to and from orientation, the work site, or both can be arranged at no cost to HACU interns
  • Interns can receive academic credit
  • Free professional development activities are regularly offered during the course of the program

Award Amount: Varies. Pay is based on a forty (40) hour work week and is distributed biweekly.

Where: Federal agencies, nonprofits, and corporations

Length: Varies

Eligibility: The HACU HNIP is open to all students, regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, color, creed, religion, sex, gender, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, or veteran status.  

Application due:  June 28 (for Fall 2024 internships); October 18 (for Spring 2025 internships)
