The American Chemical Society will be hosting the LEADS Conference, a 3-day event focused on preparing high-potential young professionals and students for successful and impactful careers in the chemical enterprise. This event, conceived by ACS Past-President, Luis Echegoyen, will bring together highly esteemed chemists, scientists, chemical professionals, and Nobel Laureates for networking, self-reflection, career exploration, mentoring, and technical discussions.
Where & When: We will continue to monitor progress with COVID-19 and make decisions accordingly with safety being an utmost priority. We are tentatively planning the conference for Thursday, November 4th through Saturday, November 6th in Washington, DC.
Length: 3 Days
Eligibility: A total of 50-75 participants in chemistry-related disciplines/roles will be selected for this event, including the following:
- Undergraduate students within 1-2 years of graduating
- Graduate students
- Post-doctoral scholars
- Early career professionals (within first 3 years)
- Open to both domestic and international applicants
- Participants must be fluent in English
Participants must be present for the duration of the conference and participate in two virtual one-hour events—one prior and one after the conference.
